1) Pam is a highly experienced, highly qualified pet sitter and dog walker with an extraordinary amount of compassion for all animals. She understands that your pets are part of your family and therefore will be sure to care for them as such. She is always respectful of your home and its contents, as well. Excellent references are available upon request.

2) Pam does not hire independent contractors or employees, which means there is less chance for miscommunication in regard to the care of your pets. An emergency back-up walker is available in the event that Pam is ill or otherwise unable to provide service on a given day.

3) Pam's Pet Care is fully insured through Pet Sitters Associates, LLC (PSA). This insurance includes Special Property Endorsement (better than bonding - visit www.petsitllc.com to learn more).

4) Dogs are walked individually, rather than in packs or with any dogs unknown to the owner.

5) Pam is Pet CPR and First Aid Certified through the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago.

6) Dogs are kept on-leash at all times and cats and other small animals are not given access to the outdoors except with special permission from the owner to do otherwise. This is to ensure the safety of your pet(s) while in Pam's care.

7) Your pets remain in the comfort of their own home, following their usual routine, while receiving loving, personalized attention.

8) Key security: Keys are marked with codes, rather than with your name or your pet's name. The code sheet is kept separate from other paperwork at all times, as are the keys.

11) Rescued animals are very welcome with me! Although I do not turn down or ask questions of any client, I strongly believe in the practice of adopting animals from shelters and rescue leagues, rather than buying animals from pet stores or breeders. Every time an animal is purchased from a pet store or breeder, a perfectly healthy and loving animal is forced to remain in a shelter or, perhaps worse, is killed as a result of the lack of space and funding at animal shelters. Additionally, pet stores purchase animals from large breeding facilities where the animals used for breeding are treated with extreme cruelty (see "Puppy Mill Prison" link for more info). Smaller breeding facilities (where all other pure breed or "designer"/"hybrid" dogs and cats are bred) use inbreeding techniques that often result in deformities and illnesses.
